Marked Motorsports LogoRENO, NV   OCTOBER 3, 2013:  At the end of a very successful season Jake Hallenbeck, driving the orange CKRC Hobbies sponsored #4775 car, was named the Ultra4 Rookie of the Year.  The team, which was formed in November of 2012, stayed consistent all year.  They got their first podium when finishing 3rd at the Ultra4 American Rock Sports Challenge.  They had a top 10 finish at the MetalCloak NorCal Stampede and last weekend ended the season with a 6th in the 2013 Ultra4 Nitto Tires National Championship.  Marked MotorSports claimed 3rd place in the Ultra4 West Coast Series Championship points in their first year racing the Ultra4 Series.  “This has been an amazing year!  Going from not even having a car or team less than a year ago, to now having a series of wins and respect from my fellow racers has been a great, great experience,” explained Jake Hallenbeck. With the team’s finishes they are pre-qualified for the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers.

Marked MotorSports Jake Hallenbeck drives a Bomber Fabrication buggy.  The bright orange car is one of the cleanest cars on the circuit.  “We have been teased for going and washing the buggy in between heat races, but I can guarantee you that our car attracts attention at the start of every race among all the other dirty cars.”  It also attracts attention in the parking lot on the bed of a very unique racecar hauler.

In addition to the Ultra4 accomplishments, Jake Hallenbeck has been successfully competing in the NorCal Rock Racing series at Prairie City OHV in California.  Winning both of the races to date, he is currently 1st in the NorCal Rock Racing Season Points and hopes to conclude the season on October 19th with another win.

Jake HallenbeckLooking forward, Marked MotorSports 2014 race schedule includes the King of the Hammers, both East and West Coast Ultra4 Series and the NorCal Rock Racing Series. “We took racing as a one year commitment, but with the successes and the right sponsors behind us, we are absolutely planning on coming back next year to continue the momentum,” finished Hallenbeck.

“I would like to thank all of those that helped me achieve this success including: CKRC Hobbies, RCV Performance, King Shocks, Rugged Radios, Bomber Fabrication, Axial Racing and Maximum Offroad Transmissions.  Our entire team dedicated their time to these efforts including Bernie Dettrich, Christopher Kathrein, Josh King and my very supportive wife Angela Hallenbeck.”
