 New York, NY - A Jeep® Liberty, dressed in the "patriot package", was hoisted atop Macy's Department store marquee in downtown Manhattan to kick-off this year's Macy's Firework's celebration. Aptly themed "A Time For Heroes," the Jeep brand is a sponsor of the fireworks, which will be televised July 4th on NBC. Jeep will also be running a sweepstakes in the Macy's East and West stores, beginning Father's Day, where the grand prize winner takes home a Jeep Liberty 4x4. This event also signals the kick-off of the Jeep brand endeavors to further celebrate the fourth of July, as "Freedom Day". The Jeep brand "American Hero" identity and heritage has been established since 1941, when the original Jeep Willy's led American troops to victory in World War II. This year, Jeep dealers across the country will celebrate their patriotic spirit through support of local parades and patriotic displays at their dealerships. |
