Dodge Durango Living Holiday Window Display

Dodge Cummins 600Auburn Hills, MI - In the spirit of families coming together this holiday season, Dodge has created a special holiday window in Manhattan's Times Square at 43rd and Broadway.  A family of three has been challenged to live in an all-new 2004 Dodge Durango between December 15-19, allowing passersby to observe the utility, size and comfort of the HEMI® powered sport-utility vehicle.

The 2004 Dodge Durango is seven inches longer, three inches taller and three inches wider than the previous model, providing enough room for the energetic Flanigan family of Ocoee, Fla., that includes Billy, a performer at Walt Disney World, his wife, Karen, an aerobics instructor and their 19-year-old son, Ryan, a college student.

“This will be a great chance to catch up and spend some quality time together, so we feel we're up for the challenge - and I think I'd look pretty good driving that Durango,” said Billy Flanigan.

If the Flanigans spend all five days inside the window display, Dodge will present them with a new 2004 Dodge Durango, valued at more than $36,000.  And, in the spirit of holiday giving, for every day the family spends in the Durango, Dodge will donate $5,000 (up to $25,000) to the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH).  Should the family reach day five, a special celebrity guest will make a stop at the window on December 19 to hand over the Dodge Durango keys to the Flanigan family and present a check to the NAEH.

“We thought the Dodge “Living” Holiday Window display would be a fun and unique way to showcase the features of the new Durango and more importantly underscore the importance of the spirit of giving this holiday season,” said Darryl Jackson, Vice President of Dodge Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Corporation.  “We are rooting for the Flanigans to hang in there all five days.  They are definitely a family that represents what it means to grab life by the horns.”

Over the course of the five days, the Flanigans will be visited by famous fitness, style and food personalities, such as fitness guru Ellie Krieger and Aaron Sanchez, head chef at exclusive New York restaurant Paladar, to demonstrate ways to stay active, keep entertained and prepare culinary delights.
