STERLING
HEIGHTS, MI - SportRack Automotive introduces
Smart-Pack(tm), the most versatile and practical platform
carrier system available. Smart-Pack is an open platform carrier,
a bicycle carrier and an enclosed carrier - all in one.
"We identified a significant number of consumers
in need of a versatile platform system capable of handling
any manner of gear that might be too large or bulky to fit
in a regular enclosed carrier," said Richard Borghi,
president and COO, SportRack Automotive. "Perhaps
they're carrying a couple of bicycles, as well as coolers
- but don't need all the space of a trailer. We offer the
Smart-Pack for people seeking this kind of simple convenience."
SportRack's three-in-one carrier can carry up to three bicycles,
while its heavy-duty tray design protects gear from road debris
and water spray.
Optional features include a soft-top weather resistant enclosure,
a rear stop taillight package, cargo rack, bicycle mounts,
rooftop system compliant bars and B-line metal framing system
hardware for custom applications.
Smart-Pack is best used in conjunction with the Twin-Tube
frame-and-spine system, also from SportRack. Designed as a
revolutionary system for attaching hitch-mounted accessories
into a 2" or 1 1/4" receiver, Twin-Tube currently
accommodates the Smart-Pack and a growing number of SportRack
Automotive accessories. The universal bracket system eliminates
the need to convert mounting hardware each time you change
cargo carriers - saving valuable time and reducing hassle.
An original invention of Sport Performance Carrier(r) manufacturer
Let's Go Aero (LGA), the Smart-Pack (called Triple-Play(tm)
under LGA) was recently licensed to SportRack Automotive in
an agreement with LGA. Under terms of the deal, SportRack
Automotive now holds exclusive OEM rights to the Smart-Pack
technology.
