Wrangler Unlimited Production Ahead of Schedule

Auburn Hills, MI - Production quality levels for the all-new 2004 1/2 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, pictured here on the final assembly at Toledo South Assembly Plant, allowed Chrysler group to ship vehicles to dealers three weeks ahead of the company's launch plan. Toledo South Assembly was able to accommodate the longer wheelbase of Wrangler Unlimited without a loss of production for current models by adapting equipment and manufacturing processes for the new Jeep. The workforce developed small teams, used new robotics, paint systems and communications technology to make the plant more flexible and efficient. The changes enabled the plant to maintain high levels of quality during the rolling model changeover.
