Los Angeles, CA - Drivetrain component manufacturer Superior Axle and Gear announced today that Jeffrey L. Phillips has been appointed President.

Phillips will be responsible for directing Superiors aggressive growth and branding initiatives as well as overseeing the launch of new product lines and services. Phillips recently held the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing for SG Automotive in Troy, Michigan where he oversaw all sales and marketing activities including OEM and Aftermarket axle, ring and pinion and related drivetrain products. Prior to joining SG, Phillips led Eaton Corporation’s Torque Control Aftermarket Program as well as its International OE Sales.

Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration in operations, international management and marketing from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
