The second round of the Mountain Dirt Riot series has had a location change. The Olympus Offroad sponsored event will now be hosted at Colorado Off Road Extreme, with Ray from RAM Offroad Parks blessings. The county is currently in the process of renewing their permit, but fears that they will not be done in time for race day. Instead of making a last minute change, we are all being proactive in making this transition. Colorado Off Road Extreme is a milder track, made up of lots of desert sections, so should be very fast.

Dirt Riot Fathers Day Race at Colorado Off Road Extreme Park this Weekend
Dirt Riot Endurance 4x4 Racing Saturday June 20th Starting at 9am at Colorado Off Road Extreme Park outside Agate, Colorado

Incorporating a location change into the schedule to the Colorado Off Road Extreme Park in Agate, Colorado for the second round of the Dirt Riot Mountain Series Round 2 has also added a lot of fast terrain to the otherwise rocky courses. Conveniently located east of Denver and west of Limon, Colorado, racing will start at 9am on Saturday June 20th with multiple classes of racing until approximately 4:30pm when the top 3 drivers in each class will be awarded trophies and cash winnings. The winners of each race is determined by the most number of laps completed in a set amount of time. Pro class qualifying will be at 5:00pm on Friday night.

“The park is located on 800+ acres of farmland and rolling hills with course up to 30 feet wide or wider in most places. The sweeping turns, rolling straight aways and elevation changes will potentially make this the fastest course of the year, but there are also technical driving sections to balance out driving styles,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We are incorporating the existing UTV course and an existing desert style course with the end result being an 11.5 mile race course. Multiple spectator viewing areas allow for great views of a large portion of the track.”

Pre-registered in the Pro 4400 4×4 Class includes Rock Addicts Racing’s Chris Hoyt and Matt Lee, Lovell Racing’s Roger Lovell, Pickett Racing’s Jason Pickett, Black and Blue Racing’s Todd Seawell, and HomeGrown Racing’s Ben Swain among others not already pre-registered. Pre-registered in the Pro 4500 Class are Funk-N-Fast Racing’s Mitch Funk and Muddnutt’s Kevin Rants.

Pre-registered in the Pro UTV Class is American Rock Rod’s driver Chris Barnett, and in the UTV class are drivers Matt Fellows and Funk-N-Fast’s driver Brad Witbeck. The SuperMod Trail Class pre-registered racers are Fetch Racing’s Stephen Fetch, NF Motorsport’s Greg Neff, Rock Assult Crawlers’ Eric Roscoe, Crawlorado Racing’s Trevor Ritch, Pandemonium Motorsports’ Chad Schoonover, and Team SCR 2331’s Cody ‘the Texas Kid’ St. Clair. Stock Trail racer Family Wagon Racing Shawn Rants is also pre-registered. Racers can sign up and register on site during tech and registration Friday June 19th.
