GREENVILLE, SC (April 24, 2014) – BFGoodrich® Tires are the tire of choice for well over half of the drivers at today’s inaugural SCORE Imperial Valley 250 qualifying. Andy McMillin, driving BFGoodrich Performance Team member Rob MacCachren’s truck, will be second off the line for Saturday afternoons lap race. Justin Matney, in the bright orange RPM Class 1 car, will be the first Class 1 followed by Paul Keller.“The second round of the SCORE World Championship is exciting with a new 250-mile race on U.S. soil,” said Peter Calhoun, motorsports manager, BFGoodrich Tires. “Coming off the success that BFGoodrich drivers had in the first race in San Felipe, placing eight of the top 10 trophy trucks and a total of 10 class wins, we are primed and ready to support our drivers with the toughest off-road tires to continue their pursuit of the 2014 SCORE World Championship title.”
Rob MacCachren is racing Pro2 and Pro4 in Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series this weekend and reached out to Andy McMillin to drive on his behalf at the SCORE IV250 race. “Andy qualified the truck and was very happy with it,” said Rob MacCachren. “Looks to be a great event and it’s in his backyard so we feel good about our chances to win. We know we have the best tires out there and plan on taking BFGoodrich to all three winners circles this weekend!”
Armin Schwarz, driving his All German Motorsports Jimco X6 Trophy Truck, qualified to start 5th. “The biggest challenge for Saturday is going to be the dust,” said Armin while attending SCORE’s Thursday night party. “There are so many zigs and zags that it won’t ever go away. We will be in our own dust and others.”
Saturday’s 82 mile loop race starts at 6am for Motorcycles, ATV’s and UTV’s. All 4-wheel classes will start at 1pm.
