BLUERIBBON COALITION LAND USE UPDATE!
WYOMING - BLM Seeks Input on Slate Creek AMP & Dempsey-Rock Creek TMP
Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kemmerer Field Office (KFO) will host a scoping meeting for the Slate Creek Allotment Management Plan (AMP) and informational open house for the Dempsey-Rock Creek Travel Management Plan (TMP) on May 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Best Western Fossil Country Inn, 760 Hwy. 189/30 in Kemmerer, Wyo.
This is an opportunity for the public to learn about the qualities which make both areas unique assets to southwest Wyoming and the challenges involved in balancing multiple-use on BLM-administered lands. The public is strongly encouraged to submit comments on how they hope these lands will be used and managed in the future.
To learn more about the KFO, the Slate Creek AMP or the Dempsey-Rock Creek TMP, please go to www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/field_offices/Kemmerer.html, www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/documents/kfo/slatecreekamp.html or www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/documents/kfo/drctmp.html.
