CRAWL Magazine Introduces CRAWLmerica, the new Trent Car; KOH 2014 Plans with Matt Messer

CRAWLmerica-Matt-Messer.jpg CRAWL Magazine announced at the SEMA show today that Matt Messer, CEO of Trail-Gear, will be the first driver of CRAWLmerica, the Trent Fabrication Top Shelf rig built to the new Ultra4 Legends class specifications.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to work together with other industry leaders in a new and innovative class. Today was the first day that I was able to see and sit in the car and it fit like a glove!” said Matt Messer. “It will be a big change from an IFS car and am excited about the challenge to be in a solid axle car again.”

Messer, a KOH veteran, will pilot the new car at the King of the Hammers in February, 2014. The new Legends class car, which allows a single shock per corner and requires a solid axle setup, will be highly competitive and showcase a variety of Trail-Gear products including their Rock Assault 9” axles.

“The benefit of building this car for us, a custom builder, was there were set rules that we had to abide by. The biggest challenge was starting the build before the rules were complete,” said Derek Trent, owner of Trent Fabrication. “Working with John and Matt was quite entertaining.”

The car will be used throughout the next year in a variety of events and driven by different drivers based on their special skills. CRAWL Magazine will be announcing the events as they grow near and readers and fans will certainly be surprised.

“The program for this year is to prove that one car can do it all. We choose Matt Messer to start this trend, and we’re sure we’ll have a great story after the race!” said John Herrick, publisher of CRAWL Magazine. “I can hardly wait to reveal the rest of the years’ plans.”

The Top Shelf car, built by Trent Fabrication of Reno, Nevada, is a high performance rock racer that excels in a variety of disciplines. Proven in desert racing, rock crawling and other offroad motorsports, CRAWL Magazine will campaign the car throughout 2014.

John Herrick, publisher at CRAWL Magazine, is excited about sharing theCRAWLmerica throughout the United States in 2014. “This car reflects the best of American fabrication and design and I’m thrilled to put the CRAWL name on it” said Herrick.

The CRAWLmerica is on display at the SEMA show through Friday, November 8 near the North Hall adjacent to the Ford autocross area. It will be featured in the January 2014 issue of the magazine.
