Winner to be Announced at Bantam Jeep Festival

MESA, AZ JUNE 10, 2016: After initially announcing the three events that ladies could qualify to participate in for the Ladies Co-Driver Challenge, the RallyVenture event had to be replace with the Trail of Missions due to permitting issues. On the heels of this change, Charlene Bower has another surprise. The annual trade-only SEMA Show has been added to the Ladies Co-Driver Challenge as a fourth event. Although not a driving event, the two ladies chosen will be part of the Bower Media team as Charlene Bower’s assistant and will have multiple business challenges presented to them. Jobs will include taking pictures, helping with distribution of information, sitting in on 2017 planning meetings, being a testament to the Ladies Co-Driver Challenge and GEM Offroad programs, helping manage our Ladies Meet & Greet and more. The evenings will be packed with social activities at events including the 2016 Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the 2016 SCORE Baja 1000 qualifying, BFGoodrich Tires parties, our Ladies Meet & Greet, plus many other parties.

“There is a lot of work that needs to be done at SEMA and there is a lot of amazing opportunities that only present themselves at SEMA. This is one of the harder weeks of our business year and I look forward to being able to give someone the opportunity to participate in the challenge with me. At the same time, it is also one of the most fun weeks of the year with the amazing events, networking and vehicles to see,” said Charlene Bower, Owner of Bower Media. “This is going to be a great opportunity for the girls that have a business mind and a lot of energy. The real challenge will be keeping up with me for five days!”

The Ladies Co-Driver contest was designed to gather entries from girls across the country, using social media, Bower Power Hourinterviews and a special training weekend to help Charlene determine the best match to be her co-driver at three events in 2016: Monster Energy Trail of Missions, BFGoodrich Tires 36 Hours of Uwharrie, the all girl Rebelle Rally in October, and now the SEMA Show in Las Vegas that is trade only, not open to the general public. Each of these events will offer a unique experience alongside Charlene, as well as a behind the scenes look at the actual events themselves. The girls chosen will be Charlene’s second in command for the entirety of the event, and will have the opportunity to manage in all sorts of challenges to complete the event. There will be five winners, one for each event this year and two for the SEMA Show.

About Charlene Bower: Charlene Bower, founder of Bower Motorsports Media, took her very first job changing tires in a motorcycle shop. From there she went on to be a part of the management team of some nationally recognized multi-line powersports dealerships. After over 10 years in motorcycle retail management, it was time for a change. Putting 6 months aside to experience life as never before, she hooked up her truck to her trailer and wandered from ride spot to ride spot making up for lost weekends on her dirt bike and quad. While on the road, she found the love of photography and writing. When a private multi-line magazine company approached her to be a part of their sales team, it turned into the perfect match. The next few years were based around sales and relationship building, while learning the in’s and out’s of the media world, specifically in the Sand and UTV Markets. When the economy dropped severely and affected the magazine business, Charlene looked for the niche that needed filling. It didn’t take long to evaluate that quality PR to the media for needed content was in order. She works daily to consistently refine the process as the world of media has revolved quite drastically in the seven years since opening Bower Motorsports Media.

The company has grown to include different properties, all with media and marketing as the core to their creation, including: Bower Power Hour, Bower Media Calendar, Race Team Store, I’m Not Just a Girl, Bower Media Promo Gifts, Shirt & Swag Club, Shirt & Bling Club, Bower Media School of Professional Marketing, and Offroad Newswire among others that are in testing phases. The Bower Media team is in the backdrop to some of the most successful racers, events, and companies in the 4×4 market. It is normal to find Charlene at offroad events every weekend working to get the shots and the stories to bring the love of motorsports back to those that can’t be there.
