The company has always been a two-wheel drive specialist and has recently expanded the offering for late-model GM trucks with affordable new 4.5″ and 7.5″ Lift Kits for 2007-2014 Chevy and GMC 1500 two-wheel drive trucks.

The key features of the MaxTrac 2WD Chevy 1500 Lift Kits are the spindles, which address all of the suspension geometry to ensure excellent ride and handling characteristics. Constructed of cast ductile iron, these spindles are beefed up in key areas to handle a larger tire and wheel package and are machined to precise manufacturer specifications. They are also E-coated for a durable, long-lasting finish. The spindle design alters the position of the front wheel hubs and caliper mounts to gain 4.5″ of lift while keeping all of the steering and suspension geometry within factory specifications.

Joining the spindles with the 4.5″ lift are extended DOT-approved braided stainless steel brake hoses. These hoses are direct replacements for the factory pieces but have the extra length necessary to work with the lift. For the rear, the kit includes 3″ fabricated steel lift blocks with new U-bolts and new twin-tube shock absorbers.

The unique design of the MaxTrac spindles also enables them to be used with a 7.5″ lift. The 7.5″ system includes all of the components of the 4.5″ system but adds 3″ strut spacers to gain the extra ride height in the front. The strut spacers are fabricated from 1/4″ thick steel with stamped top plates to ensure an exact fit. Taller 4″ lift blocks with new U-bolts and 1.5″ lift shackles bring up the rear. The 7.5″ system also has the option of upgrading to Bilstein 5100 montube rear shocks.

These new lift systems offer a simple bolt-on installation with no cutting or welding required. All necessary hardware is included along with complete installation instructions. They require the use of 17″-18″ wheels with a maximum of 4.75″ backspacing, or 20″-22″ wheels with a maximum of 6″ backspacing. Like the rest of the MaxTrac product line, these new systems are backed by MaxTrac’s Limited Lifetime warranty.
