“Whooweee, is what I have to say about this experience!! Every single lady that turned in their paperwork to be part of the challenge could have been on this list tonight. There are so many awesome ladies, this was sincerely a challenge to narrow it down. I am ecstatic for everyone that participated, and for those that will now be putting in the work alongside me to be successful at these events,” said Charlene Bower, Owner of Bower Media. “With the names of the co-drivers announced, it is now time to get busy and get to work. Each of these events is going to have its challenges and we have a lot of work to do to get ready. I look forward to continuing the stories with the actual adventures that will lead us to our GEM Summit in Arizona December 1-4, an event that will culminate 2016 and kick off 2017, where I will bust one of the bubbles and say – Yes, we will be doing a 2017 version of the Ladies Co-Driver Challenge!”

Within two and a half weeks of announcing the Ladies Co-Driver Challenge, 91 ladies entered the challenge that consisted of completing a three page questionnaire and submitting three pictures, not necessarily easy. Those 91 were then put into a social media Vote of Confidence challenge that narrowed the field to 30, with 3 wild cards pulled from the bottom group. Those 33 were interviewed for a special episode of Bower Power Hour and the Bower Media team narrowed the field to 10. The 10 were hosted in Arizona for an epic training weekend, a real win for each of the ladies. At this point, there was a challenge for the Bower Media team when RallyVenture had to cancel due to permitting issues, so Charlene ended up finding two events to add into the mix, putting four events on the list and five co-drivers an opportunity. After a two-week final announcement postponement to get final details on the new events confirmed, this weekend at the Bantam Jeep Festival the final 5 ladies were announced at the GEM Offroad Ladies Meet and Greet. The four events Charlene and the ladies will be attending are the Monster Energy Trail of Missions, BFGoodrich Tires 36 Hours of Uwharrie, the all girls Rebelle Rally in October, and the trade-only SEMA Show that is not open to the public. Each of these events will offer a unique challenging experience alongside Charlene, as well as a behind the scenes look at the actual events themselves.

Now that the process of selecting a co-driver is finalized, the preparation for the events and the events themselves will be the main topic of conversation. Fans are able to follow along with the winners as they take these adventures at www.BowerMediaTours.com?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss, on www.BowerMedia.com?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss, on www.ImNotJustAGirl.com?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss, and on www.GEMOffroad.com?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss. About Charlene Bower: Charlene Bower, founder of Bower Motorsports Media, took her very first job changing tires in a motorcycle shop. From there she went on to be a part of the management team of some nationally recognized multi-line powersports dealerships. After over 10 years in motorcycle retail management, it was time for a change. Putting 6 months aside to experience life as never before, she hooked up her truck to her trailer and wandered from ride spot to ride spot making up for lost weekends on her dirt bike and quad. While on the road, she found the love of photography and writing. When a private multi-line magazine company approached her to be a part of their sales team, it turned into the perfect match. The next few years were based around sales and relationship building, while learning the in’s and out’s of the media world, specifically in the Sand and UTV Markets. When the economy dropped severely and affected the magazine business, Charlene looked for the niche that needed filling. It didn’t take long to evaluate that quality PR to the media for needed content was in order. She works daily to consistently refine the process as the world of media has revolved quite drastically in the seven years since opening Bower Motorsports Media.

The company has grown to include different properties, all with media and marketing as the core to their creation, including: Bower Power Hour, Bower Media Calendar, Race Team Store, I’m Not Just a Girl, Bower Media Promo Gifts, Shirt & Swag Club, Shirt & Bling Club, Bower Media School of Professional Marketing, and Offroad Newswire among others that are in testing phases. The Bower Media team is in the backdrop to some of the most successful racers, events, and companies in the 4×4 market. It is normal to find Charlene at offroad events every weekend working to get the shots and the stories to bring the love of motorsports back to those that can’t be there.
