Project: Lakeside Signage Rehabilitation
Location: Arizona
Description: This project was funded by Can-Am Off-Road. Can-Am has committed to funding trail stewardship projects in the state of Arizona in partnership with Tread Lightly! to help maintain and improve access to public lands and off-road trails.
On July 7, 2023, 25 volunteers helped with the installation and rehabilitation of signage in the Apache-Sitegreaves National Forest. Together, volunteers rehabilitated sanded, repaired and painted four very weathered existing kiosks, installed a brand new kiosk at the Linden Trailhead, and implemented new educational signage which included the TREAD principles, local OHV laws and up-to-date maps to help aid riders in the area.

“So, there I was at Clay Springs trailhead we stabilized, we scraped, we painted, but the last hour was by far the most challenging in the unrelenting sun.
