unnamed (4)The 2014 RAM 2500 4WD is a heavy-duty beast of a truck suited for use as a job site workhorse, a family toy hauler for those weekend getaways, or an off-road rig capable of taking some serious abuse in the dirt. The new RAM’s suspension has been completely redesigned with a radius arm front end and a multi-link, coil sprung rear. Because of this, ICON engineers had to step back and approach this platform from a new angle to develop an entirely new set of components that would deliver both ride quality and performance.  Read More→

7075-LockNLoad-HiRes-MediaRancho Cordova, CA - Take the bind out of the radius arm suspension and add additional safety features with The MetalCloak “Lock-n-Load” (Patent Pending ID# 14/469,438)!  The unique design of the passenger side replacement Lock-n-Load control arm allows you to “lock” the control arm in a static “solid” state for added on-road safety and lively road handling.  “Load” the arm to unleash the capabilities of your radius arm suspension – reducing bushing and bracket load like a 3-link but with the added safety of four attachment points at the axle! How? When “loaded” the arm compresses and expands to compensate for control arm length change. Combined with MetalCloak’s patent pending Duroflex vibration dampening bushing, the Lock-n-Load gives you maximum ride quality.  “Lock-it” or “Load-it” – get the bind-free flex you have dreamed of for off-road AND the added stability on-road with just a few twists! MetalCloak, it’s Your Jeep, Only Better.  Information: MetalCloak, 916-631-8071, www.MetalCloak.com

FITS ALUMINUM & STEEL SUSPENSION MODELS

4ICON Vehicle Dynamics’ 2007-UP GM 1500 1-3” suspension systems are designed to dramatically increase the on and off-road ride quality of Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. With wheel travel and ride quality in mind, ICON engineers researched each component of the GM platform’s suspension and addressed any areas where performance could be extracted. After this initial step, an array of products including coilovers, rear shocks, and upper control arms were developed and put to the test in varying terrain and extreme conditions. Once these products had seen many miles of on and off-road abuse without failure, they were organized into several stages that deliver unique levels of performance to the vehicle. Read More→

ICON 2005-UP Toyota Hilux Suspension Systems

Tuesday, September 16th, 2014

5ea8daf9-791d-4873-b522-507a0b13fbdcAlthough many think the Hilux is more or less similar to a Tacoma it is, in fact, a very different vehicle. The frame is very stout, and the rear suspension is designed for quite a bit more load and service than a Tacoma. These differences prompted an approach to this international chassis that was quite different than the USDM counterpart. In standard fashion, ICON engineers took an all-encompassing approach and addressed the Hilux’s suspension as a whole rather than focusing on one particular component. The result of this is a dramatic increase in wheel travel and damping ability, translating into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road. Read More→
