    Baja California, Mexico – (November 20, 2011) In one of the most strenuous Baja 1000 races to date, Team GT driver Marc Burnett had to overcome a broken collar bone as he attacked the 692-mile course. Burnett got off to a great start but close to mile-marker 222 had to stop for a three hour repair. The unscheduled stop was indeed a set-back but it looked as if Burnett would be able to fight through and add to his Baja 1000 wins. Unfortunately his hopes of a win were dashed, but Burnett powered through 692 miles with un-matched grit and determination to capture second in Class 6 and second-place in the overall SCORE Series championship.   • Team GT’s Marc Burnett tops the podium in Class 6 at the Baja 500

    Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico – (June 9, 2011) – The legendary 2011 Tecate SCORE Baja 500 saw intense desert action this weekend, with Team General Tire’s Marc Burnett topping the podium in Class 6.

    With 254 registered starters competing in 28 Pro and seven Sportsman classes, Burnett left no time for the dust to settle, knocking off his competitors one by one.  Focused on a win for GT, Burnett pre-ran the course for weeks prior, and all his hard work and team efforts paid off. (more…)
