Each weekend starts the same way: competitors walk the new courses that CalROCS has laid out and they share stories of past events, achievements, and carnage. BrentBradshaw 199x300 W.E. Rock Western Pro Nationals Breaks All Barriers Setting Records in Oroville, CA Round 2PLACERVILLE, CA   MAY 11, 2010:  The second round of the W.E. Rock Western Pro Nationals concluded last weekend in Oroville, CA at the Urban Assault area at Surplus City.  Brent Bradshaw took the Unlimited Class win in an epic battle to the end, and Roger Norman earned the Pro Mod class win in his rookie season.  Victor Buress has his second win in the Modified Stock class and Bror Wingard took the win in the new Sportsman Class. 2010 09 SurplusCity1 300x225 5th Annual Surplus City Fall Mud & Crawl Brought Off Roaders Together for September 11th OROVILLE, CA    SEPTEMBER 28, 2010:  The Urban Assault OHV area held the 5th Annual Surplus City Fall Mud & Crawl over the weekend of September 11-12, 2010.  The event, open to all levels of competitors, from no prior experience to the pros in the unlimited class was a great success.  From Rock crawling to mud drags on Saturday and Sunday there was plenty of action to be seen.  The Teeter Totter competition on Sunday drew a large crowd, watching to see who could accomplish such a difficult feat. Included in the weekend long events was a display of the local police, fire and military vehicles in honor of the fallen 9/11 victims.  The big hit of the weekend, for kids of all ages, was the opportunity to ride in the Airborne Ranger Monster Truck. 2010 09 SurplusCity 300x200 5th Annual Surplus City Fall Mud & Crawl September 11 12, 2010OROVILLE, CA    SEPTEMBER 6, 2010:  The Urban Assault OHV area will hold the 5th Annual Surplus City Fall Mud & Crawl this weekend.  The event is open to all levels of competitors, from no prior experience to the pros in the unlimited class.  Rock crawling, mud bogs, and a raffle will be on both Saturday and Sunday. In honor of the fallen 9/11 victims, there will be a display of local police, fire and military vehicles.  The Airborne Ranger Monster Truck will offer rides to kids of all ages.

The Urban Assault arena has a man-made rock crawling course that can test the best of the pros, yet give a new crawler a good challenge.  “Sundays event will included all of the unlimited class action that you would see at a national level, while Saturday is all about allowing an opportunity for the people that want to experience what competitive rock crawling is to try it out and have a chance at winning at the same time,” explained Bob Frank, event coordinator. 2010 04 SurplusCity 300x200 4th Annual Surplus City Spring Mud & Crawl This WeekendOROVILLE, CA APRIL 19, 2010: The Urban Assault OHV area will be active this weekend for the 4th Annual Surplus City Spring Mud & Crawl. This event is open to all levels of competitors, from no prior experience to the pros in the unlimited class. “We have great events that are full of different level competitors which makes the racing action even more entertaining. The new guys always just go for it, and the pros make the hardest obstacle look simple,” said race promoter Bob Frank.
