2010 11 GeneralTire Baja1000 1 300x200 General Tire tears up the desert at the 43rd annual Tecate Baja 1000ENSENADA, Baja, Mexico – (Nov. 23, 2010) – Team General Tire and the General Tire Grabber competition tire took on the desert once more at the 43rd annual Tecate Baja 1000, which stretches from Ensenada to La Paz, Mexico,  and results in the longest version of the SCORE Baja 1000 known as the Peninsula Run.

Team General Tire was primed to unleash its fury on the desert’s most fearsome course for its third consecutive season.  Finishing at the top, was the unstoppable team of Kent Kroeker, who placed second in Class 8 and “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin who took home fourth place in Trophy Truck. Read More→

LAS VEGAS – (Nov. 10, 2010) – The beautiful sunny and clear Las Vegas weather didn’t disappoint this weekend, and neither did the action-packed Round 13 and 14 races of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Nov. 6 and 7.

The Round 13 Pro 2 Unlimited race Saturday saw an intense neck-and-neck battle for first place between two members of Team General Tire, Carl Renezeder and Robby Woods.  Woods and Renezeder led the pack for the entirety of the race, creating a daunting gap for rest of the drivers to overcome. After several turns, Renezeder pushed hard to take first position from Woods in turn eight and held the lead till the race’s end, taking home first place with Woods in second. Woods celebrated his first podium finish in 2010. The extreme action continued at the Pro 4 race Saturday where Renezeder made his mark once more, stealing second in the final lap. Read More→

196 Rick D. Johnson takes home first in Trick Truck and first overall for Team GT at 2010 BITD Vegas to RenoLAS VEGAS, NV – (August 23, 2010) – Team General Tire’s Rick D. Johnson stole the show with an incredible victory at the 2010 Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno Race Aug. 20, landing him not only first in Trick Truck, but first overall.

The dust did more than soar for Johnson’s opponents at Friday’s heart-pounding BITD race – it consumed them. The Team General Tire Trick Truck driver left his contenders in a cloud of dust as he took an incredible 3-mile lead. Fort Mill, SC – March 4, 2010 – Team General Tire has added Greg Adler Motorsports to its growing roster of short-course drivers in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series.  Adler will compete in the Unlimited 2 class in both Lucas and select TORC series races, and joins Lucas Oil Off Road Racing champion Carl Renezeder, along with Carey Hart and Robby Woods, to provide short course fans with some heart-stopping racing excitement and certain podium finishes for the 2010 season.
