Steele, along with his Desert Assassin team, will be competing on various Yokohama Geolandar® tires.

Steele received the first qualifying spot for the two-day SCORE (Southern California Off Road Enthusiasts) event, which, for the first time, will be divided into two races. Chad George wins title 200x118 Yokohama Tire Sponsored Chad George Wins Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series TitleFULLERTON, CA. – (Dec.12, 2011) – Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored off-road racer Chad George wrapped up a stellar season by clinching the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Super Lite title at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona on December 10.

George piloted the Funco Motorsports #42 Kawasaki/Yokohama Super Lite – outfitted with off-the-shelf Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S+® tires – to a fourth place finish at Firebird to win the 2011 season championship. Husband and wife team Cameron and Heidi Steele put on a show with Yokohama’s Geolandar® tires. Heidi – battling severe stomach flu – won the Class 6 division (with a lot of help from co-driver and Desert Assassins teammate Rene Brugger and his son Richie), while Cameron finished fifth in the ultra-competitive Trophy Truck division, and seventh overall among all 77 racers. FULLERTON, CA (April 14, 2011) – Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) recently rolled out a high-powered, high-speed television commercial based on the classic kids’ game, “Duck, Duck, Goose” (DDG).

The 30-second spot, shot in February at the San Bernardino International Airport, broke nationally on ABC during the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race. It features off-road champions Cameron and Heidi Steele – both Yokohama-sponsored drivers – whipping around a circle of high-performance vehicles all equipped with Yokohama tires. Cameron (a Baja 1000 champion) in his 800-horsepower off-road truck and Heidi (a Baja 500 and 1000 champion) in a bright yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera chasing after him.  Read More→

In the Pro Lite Unlimited class, Yokohama driver Jimmy Stephensen took his #33 Discount Tire/Ironclad Nissan, outfitted with  Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S® tires, to the podium with a third-place finish in round 1 on Saturday, March 19.
