Fort
Hood had been closed for almost 4 weeks for maneuvers and training
exercises. Needless to say, us regulars were chompin' at the bit to
get back out and play. On Saturday, there about 17 of us and a very
nice-sized group of 9 on Sunday.
During
the Army's exercises, they plowed down hundreds of acres of trees and
brush. This proved both damaging to our trails and beneficial at the
same time, as it uncovered new hills and trails we hadn't seen before.
