33rd Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari
Double Whammy

Like Potato Salad Hill, Double Whammy always draws a crowd. Like a great merit badge, there is a great reward to making it over Double Whammy. Typically, it's the full-size trucks that make it over, but that doesn't keep the short guys from trying it. Stay long enough and you're sure to catch some broken rigs and maybe even a roll-over.

Double Whammy
Bruiser Bear tried to make it over several different lines to no avail.

Double Whammy
Jim from Dyantrac didn't have much trouble powering his Ford over, though.

Double Whammy
This Scrambler is very well-built, including huge axles and a Corvette LS-1 motor.

Double Whammy
The gang from Warn was showing off their new coil-equipped YJ Wranglers.

Double Whammy
This Warn CJ-7 tried several lines, too, and failed.

Double Whammy
Finally, he gave up after nearly going over and spilling all of his tools out the back.

Double Whammy
Well, nice thought, but this Superlift Ranger didn't have a chance. This is as far as he got.

Double Whammy
Of course, all that horsepower knocked both driveshafts out at the same time! See video here.

Double Whammy
All the flex and horsepower available used, this YJ got airborne in the rear and was stopped fast by the second step.

Double Whammy
There are different theories on how to take Double Whammy. However, the only one that seems to work is to hammer it from a sharp angle. Still, good luck is needed in a short wheelbase vehicle.
