Northeast 4WD Trailfest 5
Hosted by RegionD/Northeast of the East Coast Four Wheel Drive Association

Trailfest started out about six years ago as an idea to get the clubs of the (then newly formed) RegionD/Northeast together for some four wheeling and camaraderie. The first year it was called, creatively I might add, The RegionD Event. We had over 50 people and about 30 trucks attend that year. Also on hand were several raffle items, including a Lock-Right Locker, Keeper Straps, and KC HiLites.

Now the name has changed, some of the people have changed, some of the trails changed and most definitely, the number of people attending has changed. Almost 400 people this year! It has become one the largest, if not the largest East Coast trail-riding event. Sponsors this year numbered over 50, including [alphabetically] BF Goodrich, Dynatec, Goodyear, Keeper, Lock-Right, Ramsey, Randy's Ring and Pinion, Tuffy, Warn, and more.

Today, the idea is still to gather the members of Region D clubs, which now number 15, for four wheeling and camaraderie. However, people come from all over the United States now. Last year, we had attendees from as far away as New Mexico. This year included people from Indiana and West Virginia. We had nine trails to offer, from very easy, 3-rated trails to hardcore, winchfest 10+ trails.

I will attempt to take you through the weekend from a trail leader's perspective, which is still enjoyable!
