The rains came and went throughout the weekend, so the banks of the streams were always nice and wet.

Rod was quite the lumberjack all weekend. Many times we had him come up and unblock the trails with his chainsaw.

The machete is also a must-have out here. Steve keeps one handy in his TJ at all times.

Many of the trucks in Canada have been equipped with daytime running lights for years.

As Bruce moves on, in the rear, the Toyota had sucked in too much water. After a half an hour, the plugs were dried and the motor blew the water out. The truck restarted and ran great the rest of the weekend!

No, these trees aren't from a Dr.Seuss book. There is a species of beetle that bores into these trees and make these huge, protruding nests underneath the bark.
