Rosser Roundup '99
Slick 50 Trail

When Sunday came around we headed out for a trail and realized that the TJ had some problems that needed to be worked out, mainly due to taking on too much mud the day before. We ended up spending the better part of the day cleaning and rebuilding the brakes, fixing a loose steering system, and rebuilding a loose hub.

We decided to take it easy for the rest of the day and hit the trails one last time on Monday. Since most attendees had already headed out for home, we headed out in our little pack of three rigs. Todd, Pat, and I headed out to a trail about 10 miles outside of town. We have no idea what the trail's name is, so because of the abundance of mud and rain, we called it the Slick 50 Trail.

The trailhead was along a railroad access road.

It wasn't long before I realized this was going to be a slick trail.

Even at ten pounds, our BFG's didn't always grab like we wanted them to.

The entire trail was non-stop mud and rain.

Todd's Jeep stayed clean for a while.

Hard-angled turns were very tricky in the slick mud.

Mud mud mud!

Plenty of caked-in mud just never seemed to leave the treads.

It took a good speedy bump to get over this little tree, as it was slick as oil!

More Slick 50!
