Chuck Dempsey and Micky Dymond Win $5,000 Purse and “Six-Shooter” Trophy at XTREME OUTLAW Race

RENO, NV    JULY 5, 2010 – The Xtreme Outlaw race held Father’s Day weekend at the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) combined an Xtreme Outlaw 250 (XO250) desert race, Xtreme Livfast Super Moto (XLSM), and Xtreme LivFast Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) with autograph signings and plenty of entertainment including performances by The Offspring, Tommy Lee and John Huntington.  Chuck Dempsey and Micky Dymond were the biggest winners at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino taking home the purse and some amazing “Six-Shooter” trophies.

Chuck Dempsey took first place in a Speed Technologies Class 1 car when he outran his competitors in the Xtreme Outlaw 250 Desert race (XO250).   A 250 mile loop course built by Grand Marshal Rod Hall, Don Gilman from ORI Reno and sanctioned by VORRA was one of the more difficult races drivers have experienced. “This race was rock crawling, desert racing and rally racing all in one, I didn’t know we got to do all three,” said Roger Norman, racer and land owner.

Micky Dymond won the 450 Unlimited class in the Xtreme LivFast Super Moto (XLSM) Saturday and won the $1,000 dash for cash on Friday Night.  A total of 263 competitors counting 40 pro riders took to the track including Matthew Winstanley who came all the way from Europe to compete in the weekend events.  Race promoter Tim O’Brien said “It was a fantastic weekend. The track was smooth yet fast and technical.  The over-under bridge jump was a crowd hit.”  The Xtreme LivFast Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) professional racing exhibition team amazed the crowds this weekend by throwing themselves and their bikes 70+ feet into the air completing a variety of dangerous stunts.

The Grand Sierra Resort topped off the weekend with live entertainment every night featuring The OffSpring in the Grand Theatre, and at The Beach DJ Tommy Lee and John Huntington of Huntington Tattoo and star of A&E’s “Inked”.  The Xtreme Outlaw Bar + Lounge was open all weekend with the beautiful Xtreme girls serving food and cocktails.  Free martini night for the ladies was also a huge hit.  The hotel was sold out, and casino floors and bars were packed with over 40,000 people in attendance over the weekend long events.

With the successes over the past weekend, look for Xtreme Outlaws to become a Father’s Day tradition.
