The King Shocks Trophy Truck team of Juan Carlos Lopez and Clyde Stacy has been making huge strides together. Running up front for several races now, the team broke-out at the Code, Mexicana Logistics 300. In an awesome display of what they are capable of, Juan Carlos Lopez started eighth off the line and quickly passed the first seven starters on the first lap. Ansani Designs is now shipping the follow-up to its award-winning JK Wrangler Induction Hood. The new “K5” version extends the factory lines with a higher, broader, more muscular profile inspired by the classic Chevy Blazer. Ansani Designs created the new hood in response to enthusiast requests for a lighter-weight hood that increases engine-compartment space. A uni-directional fiberglass manufacturing process provides about a 50 percent weight savings while still keeping the hood rigid at highway speeds. Factory hardware is reused, and the K5 JK Hood ships in a primer-ready gelcoat finish.
