Fifty participants compete for title in “Driver Enough Challenge”
GREENVILLE, S.C., May 7, 2015 ― BFGoodrich® Tires, manufacturer of products designed to handle any adventure, has challenged automotive enthusiasts across the country with a two-day competition to answer the ultimate automotive question: “Are You Driver Enough?”
Through an integrated partnership with TEN: The Enthusiast Network, the world’s premier network of enthusiast brands, BFGoodrich has invited drivers to prove they are “Driver Enough” through a series of on- and off-road driving challenges.
All 50 registration tickets sold out overnight for local participants, and six lucky winners have been chosen by the panel from BFGoodrich and TEN to compete in this timed competition on a purpose-built course in a 2015 Ford Mustang GT on the new BFGoodrich® Tires g-Force™ COMP-2™ A/S ultrahigh performance tire, and a 2013-2014 Ford Raptor on the BFGoodrich® Tires All-Terrain T/A™ KO2 tire in Willow Springs, Calif., May 9-10.
The first day of driving will serve to narrow the field down to 14 finalists competing for the title of “Driver Enough” champion. Finalists will then perform in a ride-along competition with champion racers, Brad Lovell and Andrew Comrie-Picard, and BFGoodrich Performance Team members, who participate as expert instructors.
The two signature BFGoodrich tires used on the vehicles provide the performance characteristics needed for participants to maintain confidence in their driving ability. The new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A™ KO2 was launched in late 2014 and is built as the most advanced and toughest light-truck tire ever built by the company that created the All-Terrain category.
