  • GrabberTM HTS60 replaces popular, GrabberTM HTS and features up to 25% improved tread life.

Fort Mill, SC – August 20, 2015. General Tire’s newest, all-season, highway terrain tire, the GrabberTM HTS60 is available at General Tire dealers across the U.S. The GrabberTM HTS60 replaces the GrabberTM HTS and is the perfect synergy of comfort, durability and performance for light trucks, SUVs and crossovers. General’s newest addition to the GRABBERTM line of tires offers extremely well balanced product performance with significantly improved tread life over its predecessor.

“The new GrabberTM HTS60 is an excellent all-season tire geared towards the on-road driver,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire. “Staying in line with our GrabberTM brand, this tire offers durability, performance and comfort but has improved tread life over the former HTS and we think drivers will really appreciate that.”

The GrabberTM HTS60 features a stylish symmetric pattern with a strong center rib and has been optimized for water vacuation. The GrabberTM HTS60 Metric sizes are optimized for ride quality and traction while the LT sizes are optimized for stability and grip under heavy loads. The biggest difference in the new GrabberTM HTS60 is General Tire’s newest wear improvement technology that improves tread life up to 25 percent over the original GrabberTM HTS. That means saving to the consumer over time.

Another hallmark of this tire is General Tire’s innovative DuraGenTM technology providing a robust compound with excellent cut and chip resistance that improves tread life in rugged terrain. The broad contour gives the tire a muscular stance that provides a wide footprint, promoting even wear, excellent braking and responsive handling. Additionally, General’s Comfort Balance Technology offers a cushioned tread that contains an absorption layer that isolates the vehicle from road disturbances for a more comfortable, pleasant ride.

The GrabberTM HTS60 is backed by some of the strongest warranty and service programs in the industry. This all-season tire offers up to a 65,000 limited mileage warranty. The GrabberTM HTS60 provides a full product lineup that will be enhanced with future key Original Equipment (OE) fitments. Fifty Metric sizes will be available with wheel diameters ranging from 15″ – 22” and speed ratings of S, T or H. Twelve LT-Metric and Flotation sizes will be available ranging from 15” – 18” and with a speed rating of R or S.
