Rock Pro Rock Crawling Series will be part of the well attended 4thAnnual Ultimate Motorsports Championship (UMC) at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana. The three-day event will include two full days of extreme rock crawling action in the quarry at the south end of the park. “The rock quarry at the Badland park has always been a drivers favorite. In the last year the rocks have been moved around where Josh has been able to build all new courses. Only one is similar to years past,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We encourage those that are coming to watch the weekends events to bring their 4×4 and participate in our Sportsman Class. LOUISVILLE, KY JUNE 24, 2014: The first annual Unlimited Off-Road American Show & Expo fulfilled its tagline ‘East Goes Epic’. It was extremely successful in the eyes of the enthusiasts there to enjoy, exhibitors who were able to show and sell their products, and racers who threw dirt demonstrating their extreme off-road machines capabilities. Offroad and powersports vehicles of all sorts filled the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY Friday through Sunday June 20-22. “We can’t be more excited about the overall feel of the show. As a first time event, we won’t lie and say we weren’t nervous,” said Erin Freeman, Expo Coordinator. “The response from everyone has been overwhelming and we look forward to growing into an even bigger event for next year.” (more…)
GATEWAY, CO JUNE 17, 2014: Driven Experiences first run at the SCORE Baja races proves their Arrive and Drive Trophy Truck Spec program has the gears to become a long-term program. Driven Experiences gave two clients with a dream to race Baja an intensive two week drivers training between Driven Experiences training facility at Gateway Canyons Resort in Colorado, the deserts of Barstow California and a full week in Baja pre-running. The team felt confidence that the clients had all the tools to be successful at the wave of the green flag.
“It’s been a good experience. I’m excited that we got them to this point and now we just need to get them starting the race in the morning. It has been a journey for sure, but I think it’s a testament to our crew getting the job done. TAHOE CITY, CA JUNE 11, 2014 Sometimes it doesn’t matter how the weekend starts, it matters how it ends. In Tom Wayes case, the Weathertight, BFGoodrich Tires, 3D Concrete #321 ended on the podium with the first place 2014 MetalCloak NorCal Stampede trophy. Coming into the race Wayes was sitting in 2nd place in National Points trailing Healy by a mere 52 points. A challenging season to start, Wayes was the 2014 King of the Hammers fastest finisher until penalized to 7th for a navigation error, then as the 6th place finisher at the Arkansas Eastern Series race he added some momentum later in the day when he won the SRRS vs Ultra4 shootout in Hot Springs, Arkansas. With Tom Wayes first ever Ultra4 win at the NorCal Stampede, Wayes is now 1st in the National and Western Ultra4 Series points. Wayes next race will be the East Coast Series UMC Badlands race on June 29th.

Reno, Nev. (May 19, 2013) – The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF) announced today the 2014 Class of Inductees. Del Albright, David Ashley, Marty Fiolka, the late Nye Frank, and Bill Sanders will have their names added to the venerable list of those who have committed their lives to the off-road community.
The five Inductees’ widespread accomplishments cover a number of arenas in the sport including off-road racing, and acting as pioneers of the industry, journalism and advocacy. Their legacies will be celebrated and displayed for the public, in Gallery Four within the famed National Automobile Museum – the Harrah Collection – located in Reno, Nev. They join names synonymous with the sport including Parnelli Jones, Malcolm Smith, Rob MacCachren, Larry Roeseler, Walker Evans, and Rod Hall, as well as many others who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the sport prosper and grow.
