    Marked MotorSports Jake Hallenbeck Named 2013 Ultra4 Rookie of the Year

    Marked Motorsports LogoRENO, NV   OCTOBER 3, 2013:  At the end of a very successful season Jake Hallenbeck, driving the orange CKRC Hobbies sponsored #4775 car, was named the Ultra4 Rookie of the Year.  The team, which was formed in November of 2012, stayed consistent all year.  They got their first podium when finishing 3rd at the Ultra4 American Rock Sports Challenge.  They had a top 10 finish at the MetalCloak NorCal Stampede and last weekend ended the season with a 6th in the 2013 Ultra4 Nitto Tires National Championship.  Marked MotorSports claimed 3rd place in the Ultra4 West Coast Series Championship points in their first year racing the Ultra4 Series.  “This has been an amazing year!  Going from not even having a car or team less than a year ago, to now having a series of wins and respect from my fellow racers has been a great, great experience,” explained Jake Hallenbeck.     Jason Scherer Wins Ultra4 Nitto Tires National Finals

    Two Time Ultra4 National Race Winner

    Jason Scherer Thom Kingston 2013 Nationals 1DANVILLE, CA   SEPTEMBER 30, 2013   Jason Scherer finished the 2013 season with a Win at the 2013 Ultra4 Nitto Tires National Finals in Congress, Arizona.  Jason started 12th, per the season points starting order, and finished first ahead of Nitto Tires teammate Rick Mooneyham by only 4 seconds.  This season Jason Scherer has qualified for two pole position starts, won two events and has been plagued with transmission failures, a full season of roller coaster rides, according to Jason.  “It’s hard to win these races with the level of talent in our field of drivers.  You never know if this is going to be your last win so you really have to cherish them when you can.  Winning the last race of the season always gives you a nice offseason and hopefully I can start the year off with a win next year and keep the momentum going,” said Jason Scherer in a post-race interview.   (more…)
