    Battle Rock Offroad Park

    PLACERVILLE, CA   JULY 16, 2013:  Battle Rock Offroad Park in Cortez Colorado was the scene of some high horsepower action and thrilling finishes for both the Mountain and Southwest 2013 Dirt Riot 4×4 Endurance Series.  The heat of the day was minimal compared to the heat of the competition, as the points would reveal multiple series champions at the end of this one race.

    “The Cortez, Colorado event is always a good time with great support from the Jimmy’s 4×4 crew and the drivers that come from all over for the one opportunity to earn double National points at a race,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “The course was fast, dusty and hot. But that didn’t detour anyone from joining us on the holiday weekend, and we appreciate that.” (more…)

    Raptor NationalsPHOENIX, AZ    JUNE 24, 2013:  The first annual Raptor Nationals in Arizona presented by Roush Off-Road was a grand success.  Chasing 80 degree weather the whole 297 miles made it the ideal May weekend in Arizona to discover new trails and beautiful scenery.  “Everyone had a great time.     colorado springs dirt riotPLACERVILLE, CA   JUNE 27, 2013: Wildfires sprung up on Tuesday of the Dirt Riot Mountain Series race week in the Northern Colorado Springs area, drawing a lot of media attention to the area.  Although the race course at Ram Offroad Park was never in danger, there were a number of drivers and their families that were affected by the wildfires.  Local racer, Matt Peterson, owner of Rockware was on the outside of the pre-evac area, several days were spent moving the shop out of harms’ way. Other racers pitched in to help including the Lovell’s who opened their homes and fields to evacuees. The decision to continue the competition in a community where so many were facing mass devastation was left up to the drivers, who in the end were happy for the distraction. (more…)

  • W.E. Rock Professional Rock Crawling Eastern Series Joins UMC Event at Badlands Offroad Park This Weekend

    WERock Eastern 2PLACERVILLE, CA   JUNE 20, 2013:  The second round of the Eastern W.E. Rock Pro Rock Crawling Series will be this weekend as part of the Ultimate Motorsports Championship (UMC) at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana.  The three day event will include two full days of extreme rock crawling action in the quarry at the south end of the park.  “The rock quarry at the Badland park has always been a drivers favorite.  There are so many different types of terrain in one area that it challenges even the best drivers,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We encourage those that may think that they are just coming to watch the weekends events to bring their wheeler and participate in our Sportsman Class.  It is basically a run what you brung class that isn’t so difficult that you can’t have fun and be successful.  We already have three drivers preregistered in this class: Steve Brown, Paul Figge and Chris Smith; so it should be a great time!”  (more…)

    Dirt Riot colorado springsPLACERVILLE, CA   JUNE 13 2013:  Dirt Riot comes to Colorado Springs, Colorado this weekend at the RAM Offroad Park for the second race of the Mountain Series kicking it off with a Driver Meet and Greet on Friday night at Southside Johnny’s in Colorado Springs.  Thoughts have been with the families that are affected by the fires in the surrounding areas.  Luckily, these fires do not affect the RAM Offroad Park and the race will be held on Saturday as scheduled.  “We have been watching the plumes of smoke from the park as we set up this amazing course.  We know a lot of the local families are challenged,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “But, the show must go on.  Rescheduling is virtually impossible with the amount of races that we produce in a year, and we have multiple racers that travel from out of state.  Our thoughts are with the people in the local areas and we extend our event as an opportunity for everyone to come and enjoy a day with their family.” (more…)

    Dirt Riot Central Series Endurance 4x4 RacePLACERVILLE, CA   JUNE 12, 2013: Drama in Dirt Riot racing?  Absolutely!  Never a lack of it, especially as the final round of the Central Series at Canyons Offroad Park in Fredericksburg, TX started to take shape.  Not only is it a very competitive racing group, but it was also the last race to determine the Central Season Points Winners.  The winner of the Dirt Riot Pro 4400 class, and the custom made Canyons Offroad Park belt buckle, was Brian Shirley and the overall winner of the Central Series is Levi Shirley, but as simple as that sounds it never is.  “The race at the Canyons Offroad Park in Fredericksburg is never boring; long twisty canyons, lots of flat tires, and storybook finishes that you just never know what to expect.” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “We really appreciate everyone that came out and made this year’s Central Series such an amazing battle to the end!  We will be telling these stories for years to come.” (more…)
