  • Marc Burnett Overcomes Injury to Finish Second at SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 in Class 6

    • Burnett doesn’t let broken collar bone get in the way of his Baja 1000 race.
    • Burnett’s second-place finish marks third podium for Team GT.

Baja California, Mexico – (November 20, 2011) In one of the most strenuous Baja 1000 races to date, Team GT driver Marc Burnett had to overcome a broken collar bone as he attacked the 692-mile course. Burnett got off to a great start but close to mile-marker 222 had to stop for a three hour repair. The unscheduled stop was indeed a set-back but it looked as if Burnett would be able to fight through and add to his Baja 1000 wins. Unfortunately his hopes of a win were dashed, but Burnett powered through 692 miles with un-matched grit and determination to capture second in Class 6 and second-place in the overall SCORE Series championship. UTVUG Blog

Riverside, CA 11/17/2011 –  It was a big weekend in Las Vegas for rounds 13 & 14 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS).  With the stands packed in honor of fallen competitor Rick Huseman, the level of competition on the track was lifted to a level not seen all year.  Racers in all classes competed with heavy hearts and payed respects with their vehicles sporting #36 tribute decals in honor of Huseman and his younger brother Jeff who were tragically killed in a air plane crash weeks prior. Rick Huseman’s older brother and crew chief Dan Huseman, took his #36 Monster Energy Toyota around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway track for one final lap while the fan packed stands looked on.  With the sun shining and the brisk air surrounding the track the racers, including RJ Anderson were ready to honor Rick the best way they knew how, by racing hard and leaving it all out on the track! • Full-Bodied FJ Cruiser To Compete in 2012 King of the Hammers

Rock royalty Jon Bundrant returns to hardcore competition

Lake Elsinore, Calif. —The “I can do that” attitude is responsible for a lot of innovation. It’s also spawned the infamous Darwin Awards for misguided insanity.

Jeff Miller, owner of Mad Dog Offroad Products, found himself saying, “I can do that” after attending the King of the Hammers (KOH) competition in California’s Johnson Valley. Miller had been over the Hammer trails in his custom 2008 FJ Cruiser, which was built by hardcore Toyota specialist All-Pro Off Road. (Miller’s off-road baptism was the 2008 All-Pro FJ Cruiser Challenge, where he was amazed by what FJs could do with the proper modifications.)

  • Sheldon Creed: The Future Of Off Road Racing Is Now

    Sheldon Creed Motorsports

A mere fourteen years old, Sheldon Creed has experienced more Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) victories than birthdays.  The three-time Kart champion took home his 17th short course win last weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, this time in the ultracompetitive Super Lite class.  It has hard to believe that Creed’s first time racing in the Super Lite spec class was in September at Speedworld, where he reached the podium in a field of 14 trucks just a week before his fourteenth birthday.
