  • Torchmate Racing Mike Shaffer Bets Big at Mint 400

    RENO, NV     MARCH 23, 2011   Mike Shaffer will compete in Class 10 at the SNORE Mint 400 this weekend.  Representing Torchmate Racing, Shaffer will start 15th in Class 10 in car number 1066.  “With this not being a points race for us, we have one objective and that is to not hold back, but be on the throttle from the start line,” said driver of record Mike Shaffer.  “We know with this size of a field that the winner will be the one that runs wide open with no issues to the finish, we just hope to be that team!” (more…)

  • Yokohama Tire Corporation-Sponsored Drivers Kick-Off Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Season with Three Podium Finishes

    FULLERTON, CA (March 23, 2011) – Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored drivers combined for three podium finishes at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series opener at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona, March 19-20.

    In the Pro Lite Unlimited class, Yokohama driver Jimmy Stephensen took his #33 Discount Tire/Ironclad Nissan, outfitted with  Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S® tires, to the podium with a third-place finish in round 1 on Saturday, March 19. The next day, Stephensen, from Las Vegas, repeated his podium performance with a second-place finish.   (more…)

  • Jeff ‘Ox’ Kargola Annihilates the Competition

    Chandler, Ariz. – (March 23, 2011) – Team General Tire’s Jeff ‘Ox’ Kargola tore up the course Sunday, taking home his first-ever victory in Superlite and earning second position overall in the class.

    As the sun beamed over the legendary Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Ariz., March 20, the crowd at Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series anxiously awaited the sure-to-be action-packed Superlite race.  Ox, a freestyle MX rider and Baja MX racer and a relatively new driver to the off-road scene, was ready to take on the rigorous course.  (more…)

  • Sparks Fly For Team LeDuc Racing At First LOORS Race Of The 2011 Season

    The new season brought many changes for the hardworking LeDuc family as they returned to Firebird International Raceway for the first Lucas Oil Off Road Racing (LOORS) short course event of the season.  This is the same track where Kyle LeDuc won the $30,000 Rockstar Energy Lucas Oil Off Road Challenge Cup in his ROCKSTAR Energy Drink / Makita Tools Ford just three months prior, so expectations were high coming into the new season.
