(Oct. 30, 2013) – ODYSSEY® Battery by EnerSys® congratulates sponsored driver Brian Deegan on his fifth Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Short Course championship this past weekend at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Elsinore, Calif. Deegan entered the final round of the LOORRS PRO LITE series leading the championship point standings by 50 points, and finished by bringing home the 2013 PRO LITE championship, the third PRO LITE title of his career. In addition to winning the PRO LITE championship, Deegan finished second in the 2013 LOORRS PRO 2 point standings.  (more…)

    Blue Torch Fab Peter Basler Back-to-Back Southern Rock Racing Series Champion

    Peter Basler SRRS 3BIRMINGHAM, AL   OCTOBER 17, 2013: Blue Torch Fab Peter Basler took the Southern Rock Racing overall Season Championship, for the second consecutive season.  Peter sat within the top two to three positions during the beginning of the season, until the Gray Rock event in Blue Torch’s backyard, where the team put themselves into first place and continued to earn that position through the next two events.  “This type of racing is really taking off in the South-East and we are glad to be part of the action,” said Jason Carner, owner of Blue Torch Fab and Team Manager.  “These ‘Rock Bouncers’ or ‘One-Shot Hill Killers’ are a blast to watch attack the hills, but it is even more fun to see Peter come out in the two-seat Ultra4 classified Rock Racer and climb the same hills.  We are very excited about this Championship and next year’s opportunities in this series.” (more…)

In addition to the line-up of trucks, Jeeps, UTVs, ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, sand rails, rock crawlers, parts and accessories on display, the expo entertained attendees with exciting features including: ULTRA 4 / King of the Hammers demos; Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing demos; autograph signings with dozens of off-road racing legends; live entertainment; and more.     Marked MotorSports Jake Hallenbeck Named 2013 Ultra4 Rookie of the Year

    Marked Motorsports LogoRENO, NV   OCTOBER 3, 2013:  At the end of a very successful season Jake Hallenbeck, driving the orange CKRC Hobbies sponsored #4775 car, was named the Ultra4 Rookie of the Year.  The team, which was formed in November of 2012, stayed consistent all year.  They got their first podium when finishing 3rd at the Ultra4 American Rock Sports Challenge.  They had a top 10 finish at the MetalCloak NorCal Stampede and last weekend ended the season with a 6th in the 2013 Ultra4 Nitto Tires National Championship.  Marked MotorSports claimed 3rd place in the Ultra4 West Coast Series Championship points in their first year racing the Ultra4 Series.  “This has been an amazing year!  Going from not even having a car or team less than a year ago, to now having a series of wins and respect from my fellow racers has been a great, great experience,” explained Jake Hallenbeck. With the team’s finishes they are pre-qualified for the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers. (more…)
