    RJ AndersonRJ Anderson of Walker Evans Racing, one of the hottest upcoming stars of Lucas Short Course Off Road Racing and SXSPerformance.com will partner for the remainder of the 2012 WORCS series, as Anderson chases a championship in his Polaris RZRXP UTV.

    Coming off a win in Round 5 of the WORCS series at Racetown 395, and a podium at Lake Havasu, Anderson hopes to continue his momentum in the Production 1000 class. “It’s a great opportunity for our new company to partner with a family that is iconic in the sport of off road racing” Said Mike Lasher of SXSPerformance.com.   • JT Taylor Finishes NORRA Mexican 1000 in Ultra4 Car Winning the Evolution 4×4 Class

    Mexican 1000COLORADO SPRINGS, CO    MAY 29, 2012  –  JT Taylor completed another first in off-road racing.  He took the Torchmate / Tube Shark Ultra4 car south of the border and finished the four day 2012 General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000 Race.  “This is the funest race on the planet, and I’ve been around the planet,” joked JT Taylor.  “On a more serious note, it is an honor to be able to be welcomed by the entire NORRA staff and all the legendary drivers into their group after racing this week.” (more…)

  • Poison Spyder Larry McRae Wins Modified Class at Cinco de Baja

    Poison SpyderBANNING, CA    MAY 9, 2012  –  Larry McRae drove the Poison Spyder Modified Ultra4 #4581 to a class win at the Ultra4 Cinco de Baja race last weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  With this Modified Class Western Series win and the 2012 Modified Class King of the Hammers win, the Poison Spyder Racing team is leading the Pro Series Modified Class and the Western Series Modified Class points race.  “The only thing that we had to do was put fuel in the car,” said driver Larry McRae.  “The crew prepped the car meticulously and have slowly worked the bugs out of the car making the 250 miles consecutively with no issues to speak of.” (more…)

  • Utah Kicks Off 2012 Season

    Grassroots off-road series showing promising growth

    TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (May 8, 2012) — The newly-created Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series – Utah kicked off its 2012 season on the Off Road Short Course at Miller Motorsports Park this past Saturday, May 5.

    The regional racers set out on Friday afternoon to test their vehicles on the track.  Some had not been in their race cars since last season, and some were testing new vehicles for the first time.  In addition, there were many newcomers to the series, some of whom traveled from as far away as Colorado to participate.  The new series is growing briskly, as the participation has more than doubled since its inception last summer.   (more…)

  • Team Trail-Gear Triumphs at Cinco de Baja

    Trail-GearFresno, CA-Team Trail-Gear Racing took home top honors at the Ultra4 Western Regional Series Cinco de Baja race just outside Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Driver Matt Messer and co-driver James Schofield beat out more than 50 drivers across 12 classes to achieve the overall fastest time and the unofficial fastest lap speed of the race. (more…)
