GLEN HELEN, CA – JULY 12th, 2014: Over 115 race teams descended upon Glen Helen Raceway the weekend of July 11th for the 4th annual 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix. With nearly triple the car count of the inaugural 2011 race, the competition was fast and fierce for all classes. However, one driver stayed at the front of the pack all weekend and that was the current King, Loren Healy. King Healy Reigns at Discount Tire American Rocksports Challenge
TOOELE, UT – AUGUST 23rd, 2014: More than 90 teams registered for the Discount Tire American Rocksports Challenge at Miller Motorsports Park. With double the car count from 2013, the racing was some of the tightest and most intense of the 2014 ULTRA4 season to date. After a fierce battle in the main among 4 former Kings; Campbell, Healy, Scherer and Miller, it was Healy who climbed to the top of the podium for his 2nd consecutive ULTRA4 win. Race Prep Racing Takes the Checkered Flag At Glen Helen Grand Prix
GLEN HELEN RACEWAY, CA – July 12, 2014 In their first Western Regional Race of 2014 and their first regional race in the newly created Ultra4 Legends Class, Race Prep Racing outlasted the other Legends teams and took the checkered flag for the win on July 12, 2014. Richie Carter, driver of the 4474 Legends Class car, credits perseverance and hard work for the team’s success.The pit crew battled fueling issues all weekend still managing to put down good lap times during the preliminary heats when it counted. Though the final wasn’t pretty – the car sputtered and popped during most of the race – this is endurance racing and the car, driver, and crew worked for 90 minutes keeping the car moving and the lap times consistent. In the end, Race Prep Racing put down two more laps than its closest competitor and took the win in their class. (more…)

Reno Selected for 2014 Nitto Tire National Championship
RENO, NV – AUGUST 8th, 2014: ULTRA4 Racing is pleased to announce a return to Reno, NV for the 2014 Nitto Tire National Championship the weekend of October 17th and 18th. More than 90 vehicles in five classes are committed to racing in the championship to be held at the Wild West Motorsports Park. The 2014 ULTRA4 annual awards banquet will be held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa immediately following the race.

DODGE CITY, KS JULY 9, 2014 Starting the year with a Lucky Dog Racing double finish at the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers when father Brian Shirley and son Levi Shirley crossed the finish line 20th and 21st respectively, would set the stage for their 2014 Ultra4 race around the world. “A lot of people ask what I have accomplished in 2014,” chuckled Levi Shirley. “Well, lets see, I’m King of the Mountain in Italy, our team has built two cars in two countries and kept two others racing. My dad and I have both qualified for the 2015 King of the Hammers, we’ve raced two Ultra4 Eastern Series races, two Ultra4 Europe Series races and an Ultra4 Western Series race, not counting this weekends race.
