  • Out of the Box, and into the Rocks

    While most may not feel the need to tackle trails rated in a manner that scares away the average Jeep owner, when I was invited to join a group of dedicated UTV owners for a weeklong trip in Moab, I nearly jumped at the chance. One catch, I would be the only person in the group piloting a bone stock machine.

    After over 10 years in the Rocksports Industry as co-founder of the Ultra4 Series and King of the Hammers, I felt it was possible the group wanted the rock crawler to have one hand tied behind his back. I will openly admit, I was a bit concerned about my ability to pilot a stock machine on trails I have driven a fully built buggy on in the past. Names like Steel Bender, Cliff Hanger, Green Day, and Helldorado may seem nearly impassable by name, but the scenic beauty that surrounds the town of Moab is best seen from some of the more ominous sounding trails.   • Mild to Wild Fundraiser Trail Ride To Benefit Blue Ribbon Coalition

    RENO, NV    MARCH 18, 2011: The “Mild to Wild” Fundraiser Trail Ride for 4 wheel drive vehicles will take place on Tuesday March 22, 2011 with all proceeds going towards the Blue Ribbon Coalition and their dedication to keeping our land open for use and protecting responsible recreational access.

    Join Vendors and Industry leaders for a day of fun. “Mild to Wild” Fundraiser Trail Registration is $35 per vehicle, which also includes two event tickets to the Reno Off-Road Motorsports Expo, payable by check or cash at the Convention Center meeting place prior to leaving.   • BaerTrax Off-Road Shop of Dallas Texas is hosting the 2011 All Ya’ll Crawl at Katemcy Rocks near Mason Texas on May 14th and 15th.

    This should be an exciting event to attend with all the activities planned. As you have read on the flyer, there will not be an event fee. You will be able to wheel during this event for the normal park fee and still enjoy the entertainment that BaerTrax Off-Road Shop of Dallas Texas is providing… This event is about good people getting together for some good wheeling and good times!!!   • Southwest Crawlfest Raised Money for Land Use at 3-day Jeep Event

    SAINT GEORGE, UT     JANUARY 25, 2011    ECT Offroad Southwest Crawlfest presented by Poison Spyder had nearly 300 vehicles on the Sand Hollow OHV Recreation Trails participating in a clean-up and raffle for Land-Use.  “We had another great turn out this year,” explained Steve Crabtree, Event Chairman. “It was a perfect weekend for wheeling and it was fun to have everyone here enjoying the trails and helping support keeping the land open so we can continue to have events like these.” (more…)
