  • OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLE GROUP WINS HISTORIC CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT LAWSUIT AGAINST STATE PARKS: TRUCKHAVEN TRAILS STAY OPEN

    After nearly 18 months of hard-fought litigation, EcoLogic Partners, Inc. (“EcoLogic”) has prevailed in its California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) lawsuit against the California Department of Parks and Recreation (“State Parks”) over the closure of recreational vehicle routes in Truckhaven (also known as the “Freeman Property”).  On October 16, 2012, Judge Jeffrey Jones of the Imperial County Superior Court issued his final Judgment in the action, finding that State Parks violated CEQA when it approved a “boundary signage and fencing” project without first analyzing whether and to what extent the project would have adverse impacts on natural and recreational resources.  As a result of the Court’s ruling, State Parks’ decision to approve the boundary signage and fencing project has been set aside.     Suwanee, Ga. (October 31, 2012) – Omix-ADA®, a leading manufacturer of high-quality Jeep®, truck and off-road parts, accessories and floor liners today announced it is celebrating its 20th anniversary by donating $200,000 to a variety of non-profit causes important to Jeep owners and the off-road industry, beginning in 2013.

    Of the $200,000 pledged, $50,000 will be donated to a non-profit organization or cause in honor of Jeep owners. The second $50,000 will be donated to a non-profit organization or cause in honor of Omix-ADA employees and customers. The third $50,000 will be donated to a non-profit or cause in honor of the off-road media, SEMA and other automotive organizations.     Suwanee, Ga. (October 30, 2012) – Following the overwhelming feedback from Jeep® owners online and the success of theRugged Ridge® Modular XHD Snorkel System for 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.8L V6,  Omix-ADA®,  today announced the availability of its new, patent pending Rugged Ridge Modular XHD Snorkel System for two and four-door Jeep Wrangler JK models from 2012-2013 equipped with the 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine.

    Designed with the same rugged construction as ODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ batteries, the new ODYSSEY® Performance Series™ batteries offer equivalent deep cycling capabilities, long service life and high reliability. ODYSSEY®Performance Series™ batteries are designed specifically for consumer applications, which do not require as many cold cranking amps (CCA) and reserve capacity (RC) minutes as ODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ batteries. However, they deliver more deep cycling capabilities for parasitic loads than conventional batteries.
