  • Yokohama Tire Corporation-Sponsored Off-Roaders Cameron and Heidi Steele Gearing up for ‘Vegas to Reno’ Race, August 16-18

    Racers will use Geolandar® tires to tackle ‘the longest off-road race in the U.S.’

    FULLERTON, CA. – (Aug. 14, 2012) – Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored Cameron and Heidi Steele – the husband and wife team known as “off-road racing’s power couple” – will be back in action at the Best in the Desert’s 534-mile “Vegas to Reno” race, August 16-18. Cameron and Heidi will tackle “the longest off-road race in the U.S.” on Geolandar® tires.

    Heidi, whose five off-road season championships include a 2008 Best in the Desert title, will be competing in her second race this year after becoming a mother in March. She placed second in June’s Baja 500 in a Ford Ranger equipped with off-the-shelf Geolandar M/T+® tires. She’ll be competing on the same tires in the 7200 Class at the Vegas to Reno contest. (more…)

  • FAST-Aid Receives 501(c)3 Approval from IRS

    All Donations Confirmed Tax Deductible

    MESA, AZ – AUGUST 7, 2012:  FAST-Aid’s Federal Tax Exempt status has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service issuing a 501(c)3, identifying all contributions made previously, and going forward, as tax deductible donations and designates FAST-Aid as a public charity. The application packet totaled nearly 100 pages including the mission statement, financial information, proof of activities and supporting documentation dating back to the inception of FAST-Aid in efforts to qualify as a charitable organization serving the off-road community.  “We were warned by Certified Public Accountants and other charitable organizations about this scrutinizing process that typically drags on for months or even years,” said Jared Tetzlaff, Fast-Aid President.  “All of us on the board of directors were confident in our integrity and transparency, as well as the great things we have accomplished in our relatively short existence.  Needless to say, we were ecstatic when we were notified that the IRS recognized our activities as being in compliance and granted full tax exemption for all financial activity effective back to October 2009…and all that without any further inquiry or analysis!” (more…)

  • Great Weekend of Celebration for 60th Jeepers Jamboree

    GEORGETOWN, CA    AUGUST 2, 2012  –  The 60th Jeepers Jamboree celebration July 26-30, 2012 on the Rubicon Springs had many high points throughout all five days on the historic trail.  The Movies on the Grass, Historical talks, Diamond in the Rough wine tasting supporting the Rubicon Trail Foundation, Raffle, Vendor Show and a Flatfender Show’N’Shine were just the organized events.   • TRAIL-GEAR RELEASES ROLL CAGE AND SUSPENSION COMPONENTS FOR JEEPS

    Fresno, CA-Trail-Gear, Inc. plans to shake things up with the launch of three new Jeep products. Trail-Gear will be debuting a new roll cage for Jeep Wranglers made from years 1987-1995 (YJs), front lower control arm brackets and cam bolts for Wranglers, Cherokees and Wagoneers with the following Body Style Designations: TJ; TJ-L or LJ; XJ; ZJ; and WJ, today (Friday, August 3rd). “We have a wide selection of off-roading products that every off-road enthusiast should have,” said Matt Messer, Trail-Gear CEO.
