After mechanical issues at the 2011 Extremity Games, Ridgway will take the leg of the Baja 1000 that could be the most treacherous – the 200 miles at night. “I am antsy, I haven’t done anything lately and this was an awesome opportunity to race with the Prohens Brothers that have raced the legendary Dakar Rally,” said Chris Ridgway. As a kickoff to the 2011 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 race, General Tire (GT), Method Race Wheels and Monster Energy invite fans to join all the race teams for an evening of fun Thursday, November 17 at Papas & Beer (located at Blvd. Lopez Mateos and Calle Ruiz 110 in Ensenada, Mexico) for the first annual Off-Road Street Fiesta. The event gets underway at 3:00 p.m. PST and will include driver autograph sessions from 5:30-6:30 p.m., a large display of race trucks, performance by Takon Machine, flame throwing exhibitions and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
