  • Ansani Designs Announces Toyota Tundra Light Bar

    For 2007-current Tundras, Ansani Designs now offers a bolt-on light bar. It’s made with 1/4-inch-thick upright plates and 2 x .120-inch round tubing. The bar has three tabs with 1/2-inch holes and clearance for 8-inch round lights (KC Rally 800s shown, sold separately). The Tundra Light Bar is finished in gloss black powdercoat. Installation is bolt-on, using existing holes.

  • Torchmate Racing Heads to Warmer Weather at W.E. Rock Nationals Jesse Haines and Roger Norman to Compete

    RENO, NV     MARCH 30, 2011   Torchmate Racing will be in full force at the opening round of the W.E. Rock Nationals this weekend in Tucson, AZ with Jesse Haines competing in the Unlimited Class and Roger Norman competing in the ProMod Class.  Also on the track this weekend will be Torchmate Racing Rusty Bray at the TREC series and five-year-old Gwen Garwood in a Sprint Kid Kart.

    Jesse Haines bought his winning Unlimited Class buggy back and is excited to be competing in the Unlimited Class this year.  “Not many people know, but I sold my Pro Mod and will be running the Unlimited Class again,” said Haines.  JT Taylor will be spotting for Haines.  He has won an astounding twelve rock crawling competitions from Pennsylvania to California, a series championship, and had dozens of podium finishes. Between competitions, Haines has built numerous championship-winning vehicles for both himself and other competitors. (more…)

  • King Shocks Racers Dominate at SNORE, MINT 400

    The Snore, Mint 400 takes place in some of the most evil desert terrain imaginable. The Mint course is comprised of rocks, big rocks, little rocks, sharp rocks and deeply embedded rocks that seem to be cast in concrete. The only relief from the constant pounding is a few sandy stretches and the deep pockets of blinding silt… with rocks. (more…)

  • Roger Norman Podiums at 2011 Mint 400

    RENO, NV     MARCH 29, 2011  – Roger Norman was in the front pack for the entire 2011 SNORE Mint 400 finishing 3rd in the Trophy Truck class, 5th overall. After a qualifying run that had everyone talking, the #8 Crystal Bay Casino trophy truck took the second starting position.  Norman maintained the second place position for the first lap, gained the lead in the second lap but then fell back to finishing third after an hour long on course repair.  “It was rocky and dusty and tires played a huge role in the race, our BFGoodrich tires really withstood the beating,” said Roger Norman.     General Tire at the Mint 400

    LAS VEGAS – (March 28, 2010) – Team General Tire crushed the competition, sweeping the podium at the 2011 Mint 400 in Las Vegas March 26.  ‘Ballistic’ BJ Baldwin continues to unleash his fury this season.  Leading the pack for the majority of the race, BJ crossed the line victorious, followed by his father Bobby Baldwin in second and Mikey Childress in third.  New GT drivers Randy Merrit tookfirst in Stock Full followed by Macrae Glass with a first place finish in Class 8. GT spec class drivers Perry Coan received first place in Jeepspeed Challenge and Troy Messer took first in Trophylite.   • General Tire announces the winner of the 2011 Miss Mint 400 competition – Keli Snyder

    • USC student and Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing reporter Keli Snyder is named Miss Mint 400 for 2011
    • Snyder will receive $1,500 and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be titled Miss Mint 400.  Previous Miss Mint 400 winners include Vanna White and Lynda Carter.
