    Clackamas, OR (1/25/11) – Warn Industries has announced the hiring of John Stransky as the company’s new President.

    Stransky brings 23 years of experience leading branded businesses, most recently as the President of Life Fitness, a division of Brunswick Corporation. During his tenure at Brunswick, Stransky developed and implemented strategic plans for global growth, redefining brands, improving customer service, driving innovation, and working directly with customers to grow the business.

    Stransky has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona, and has been active in community and volunteer efforts. He will join the company January, 31. (more…)

    JKS Manufacturing introduces a smart solution to keep your steering stabilizer out of harm’s way

    Alliance, NE – January 2011: The last place you want to lose maneuverability is on the trail, where diagnosing and repairing the problem is often impossible. Nevertheless, this unfortunate occurrence affects Wrangler JK owners more often than you might expect. The problem involves the factory mounting location of the steering stabilizer, which is immediately forward and well below the centerline of the front axle. This leaves the steering stabilizer defenseless against impact damage, and therefore is a disaster waiting to happen.

  • Southwest Crawlfest Raised Money for Land Use at 3-day Jeep Event

    SAINT GEORGE, UT     JANUARY 25, 2011    ECT Offroad Southwest Crawlfest presented by Poison Spyder had nearly 300 vehicles on the Sand Hollow OHV Recreation Trails participating in a clean-up and raffle for Land-Use.  “We had another great turn out this year,” explained Steve Crabtree, Event Chairman. “It was a perfect weekend for wheeling and it was fun to have everyone here enjoying the trails and helping support keeping the land open so we can continue to have events like these.” (more…)

  • Big Ugly 2.0 has Successful Debut at The Hammers

    Kevin Sacalas of Big Ugly Racing unveiled his new Ultra4 Race Car, “Big Ugly 2.0” out at the Hammers this weekend in preparation for the 2011 King of the Hammers race being held February 11th.  This is the 2nd Ultra4 car designed and fabricated entirely by Sacalas. His first Ultra4 car which fans affectionately named “Big Ugly” had several impressive podium finishes including 1st place in the 2009 BiTD Vegas to Reno, 2nd place in Silver State 300 and a 3rd place finish in the King of the Hammers Grand Slam of Offroad Racing series.
