    Rainbow City, AL, 1/24/10 – Rusty’s is proud to annouce the addition of two new gusset kits to help solidify that Dana 30 axles for Jeep Wrangler JK and TJs, XJ Cherokees and ZJ Grand Cherokees.

    The kit for the JK Wrangler is part #ADS30JK. The Rusty’s JK gusset kit is a 6 piece bracket kit that will reinforce your axle and add strength. Laser cut from ¼ inch steel. The gussets are precision cut to fit the axle and weld into place. With tires getting larger and the trails getting tougher, this is a small price to pay to strengthen your axle housing.

    The kit for TJs, XJs and ZJs is part #AG330. The Rusty’s model 30 gusset kit is a 3 piece bracket kit is designed for a model 30 in an XJ, TJ or ZJ. It will reinforce your axle and add strength. Laser cut from ¼ inch steel. The gussets are precision cut to fit the axle and weld into place.     Reno Motorsports Off-Road ExpoRENO, NV    JANUARY 21, 2011:  Independently successful Reno consumer shows including the Reno Motorsports Off-Road Expo, Outdoor Expo, Home Show and Pet Show will have multiple activities for the whole family including Dr Lori’s antique appraisals, Trails Motorcycle riders, and a Pug Parade among others.  The shows are combining under one roof in 2011 filling over 200,000sqft of the Reno Sparks, Nevada Convention Center.  The show will run for three days March 25, 26 and 27, 2011 with daily and combined rate tickets between $6-$14.  “We are very excited to have all of the shows at one time this year,” said event producer Al Lockett.  “There will be something for everyone in the family to look at and enjoy as well as a full weekend of giveaways and entertainment.” (more…)

    Off-roading in Hot Springs began in the late 1970’s with people ‘wheeling on a multitude of timber company logging roads, and utility company right-of-ways. Over the years this “unofficial trail system” grew into an impressive array of trails. It was great while it lasted… in 1999 the landowners closed access to the area and put the property up for sale.

    In 2001, a group of off-road businessmen, enthusiasts and conservationists purchased the acreage with the intent of developing the nation’s premiere off-roading destination, while preserving the land’s natural beauty.

    The Park includes the majority of the original trail system, and new trails and obstacles with varying degrees of difficulty are continuously being built on every terrain type imaginable — hill climbs (both “finesse” and “horsepower required” types), mud pits, rock gardens, water crossings, you name it. All trails are mapped and posted with difficulty ratings for the various vehicle types, so you always know your location, and what to expect terrain-wise. (more…)
