Rancho Adds Extended Length Shocks to RS9000X Lineup

Rancho rs9000xMONROE, MI - The Rancho RS9000X nine-position fully adjustable performance shock absorber is now available for dozens of additional on- and off-road applications and in several extended-length designs. Rancho, which introduced the RS9000X in 2002, is the world’s premier brand of performance suspension systems, shocks and related accessories for light trucks and sport-utility vehicles.

Featuring an advanced tri-tube mono-flow design and nine-position adjustable valving, the RS9000X enables drivers to manually or remotely (from the cab) tune damping performance to match a vast range of performance situations. The shock’s reserve/intermediate/primary tubes and mono-flow configuration yield 17 times greater fluid area than the original RS9000, ensuring exceptional performance under a full range of load and temperature conditions.
“The RS9000X is everything we hoped it would be,” said Bill Johnson, director of engineering for Rancho. “Customers worldwide have been able to achieve an unprecedented level of performance and handling precision – both off the road and on – and their satisfaction has helped make this one of the most successful product introductions in the history of the Rancho brand.”
The RS9000X is now available for a full range of 4WD and 2WD late-model domestic and import vehicles, including Ford, Dodge, Chevy/GMC, Oldsmobile, Jeep, Mazda, Nissan, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, and Toyota light trucks and SUVs. The new shock also is offered in extended-length designs delivering 10 to 15 inches of travel.

The RS9000X features Rancho’s exclusive 15-stage velocity-sensitive valving for enhanced stability and traction. Each shock includes a 16-mm-diameter hardened and double-chromed rod, 32-mm-diameter piston with Teflon band and an all-new rod guide design that reduces friction and improves flow for enhanced ride comfort.

Rancho also offers an optional in-cab remote control kit – No. RS99700 – that permits adjustment of front and/or rear RS9000X shocks while the vehicle is in motion.
