Rancho Introduces Pro Series Remote Reservoir RS9000X

Rancho Remote Reservoir RS9000xMONROE, MI - A new line of fully adjustable gas-charged remote reservoir shock absorbers engineered for serious off-road performance has been introduced by Rancho, the world leader in suspension technologies for light trucks and sport-utility vehicles.

New Rancho Pro Series shock absorbers combine the brand’s world-class RS9000X nine-position adjustable technology with an advanced remote reservoir configuration ideally suited to hard-core off-road driving, where heat-related shock fade often can be an issue.

The RS9000X is the perfect platform from which to develop a new level of technology for particularly demanding driving situations,” said Bill Johnson, director of engineering for Rancho. “An added benefit is that by leveraging our latest, proven off-road shock design, we’re able to offer vehicle owners the benefits of a fully guaranteed remote reservoir system at a far more competitive price than many competitors.

Available for several popular applications equipped with Rancho suspension systems – and in extended-length units offering 13, 14 and 15 inches of travel, respectively – new Rancho Pro Series shocks are engineered to provide more consistent performance over a longer period of use, a particularly important characteristic for serious off-road enthusiasts who might push conventional shocks to their performance limits. Each Pro Series shock can be mounted in any position and is delivered complete with “piggyback” cushions and clamps.

Like the standard RS9000X, the new Pro Series shock features nine-position adjustable valving, enabling the driver to manually or remotely (from the cab) tune damping performance to match a vast range of performance situations. Each shock includes a 16-mm-diameter hardened and double-chromed rod, 32-mm-diameter piston with Teflon band and an all-new rod guide design that reduces friction and improves flow for enhanced ride comfort.

Rancho also offers an optional in-cab remote control kit – No. RS99700 – that permits adjustment of front and/or rear shocks while the vehicle is in motion.
