CORONA, California (March 21, 2017) – Lund International, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of automobile aftermarket accessories, will be out in front of everyone in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series this year, as the sponsor of the Lund Safety Trucks at all national and regional events.
This Team Lucas sponsorship is the first of its kind for Lund International, which has its corporate offices in Buford, Georgia. The Lund logo will appear on the hood and doors of all five Toyota safety trucks and on all the safety crew’s fire suits.
Five other Lund International brands – AVS, Bushwacker, AMP Research, Roll-N-Lock and Stampede Automotive Accessories – also will be participating in the sponsorship, which includes 137 cumulative television hours (73 of that live), social media, banners, signage and a Vendor’s Row display on site at all events.
Valerie Nadalini, the Senior Director of Merchandising for Lund International, said the agreement to become a partner in Team Lucas was a result of meeting and talking with Alex Striler, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Team Lucas, at industry functions.
“He was telling us about the events Lucas Oil puts on and how so many of them appeal to truck owners. And with so much of our product assortment applying to trucks we thought there would be interest in doing something together,” Nadalini said. “It was a collaboration. Team Lucas presented all the various opportunities for sponsorship and we looked at them. The safety trucks were very appealing to us. The contract with the previous sponsor had just ended and with Lund International being a premiere brand for automotive accessories we thought it would be a perfect pairing.”
“Lund is a perfect fit for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series because we use so many of their products in our safety trucks- supplemental fuel tanks, floor liners, running boards, bed-mounted tool boxes, bed steps, fender flares, and bull bars with embedded LED lighting,” said Alex Striler, Team Lucas, Director of Sales and Marketing. “The safety trucks are the most important vehicles on the track. They are used in emergencies and can’t fail or break down. That’s why all our safety trucks are outfitted from bumper to bumper with LUND’s brands, including Lund, AVS, Stampede, and AMP Research.”
The first appearance of the Lund Safety Trucks in the national series will be April 21-23 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. The Lucas Oil Regional series began March 11-12 at Glen Helen Raceway Park in Devore, California.
