    Trail Hero 2024

Recovery every year gets more and more overwhelmed, we never know who will be out there assisting until close to the event. Ideally, everyone is self sufficient. Any "tows" for event participants are strictly to a staging area, and would assume someone you are wheeling with is capable of...

    Trail Hero 2024

One option is the Hardcore pass. $200 (I think), covers daily park access, bands, in-park events, Vendor access, CartoTracks maps, etc and has it's own raffle for buggy-related stuff. plus the buggy-sized trash sack. Looks like registration opens May 1. You can access the trails and WE...

    Build Rock Lizard build

I mostly stop in 2nd now, 75:1 can push thru the brakes :) Yes, I'd like to be lower on occasion, but 90% of the time 75:1 is perfect, and use 2nd for throttle bumps. The new ratios would bump in 3rd, normal wheel in 2nd, crawl in 1st. There are also lower 1/2 ratios available for the C4...

    Build Rock Lizard build

Create a spreadsheet for your ratios, covering all your t-case options and trans options. I've done that for my next build, very useful info. Notice that for my current 700r setup, the Third L and First H overlap. The C4 ratios are specifically being chosen to NOT overlap.

    limit straps!

I don't, but have considered them in the rear. If you can run your Nitrogen at a low enough pressure, then the impact from topping out the shocks isn't terrible. With the added front rebound, my fronts RARELY top out. The lighter rebound in the rear does top out. The shocks have a large/thick...

    buggy dash/gauges

Boring standalone round gauges for oil pressure, trans temp, water temp. Nothing else needed IMO. Voltage is visible via a USB plug/monitor. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HDFJ9M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Hi there

Yes, the 3899 is a direct replacement. I have 6 on hand right now, but no guarantees for how much longer. AND no guarantee that RCV will have them stocked....usually they only have inventory when another larger order comes in (ie: me... lol) I don't have any restock plans, yet. AND, be aware...

Link Bolt and Rod End Sizes

My lowers and the chassis-side uppers just use weld in spacers for the 3/4 bolts. I haven't noted any binding with 16" air shocks, and I know Jesse builds some JHF Trails with 18" rear. Axle side uppers are a misalignment with a 5/8 bolt.

Link Bolt and Rod End Sizes

7/8 shank, 3/4 bolt. Uppers and lowers are the same. Lowers are ALL RH thread, uppers are LH/RH mixed for adjustability. Lowers should be all RH, otherwise you'll spend every trip tightening jam nuts.

Link Bolt and Rod End Sizes

7/8-3/4 for my heims. (I think...) heimjoints.net is local, so I shop there :) 3/4-5/8 for the steering heims (I think...) Thus far, I've had one bend. They ARE due for replacement after 2-1/2 years, links and steering.

WE Rock 2024, Western Series Round 1, Bagdad AZ

I ended up doing the live coverage, which was tons of fun, but eliminated any chance of pics. Had a good turnout, tho I know a few competitors wanted to attend that ended up with last minute issues due to travel or build progress. Full results: Western Series Round 1 - WE Rock Events The...

    m&m d300

Interesting fun fact: The detents in a factory D300 are not equally spaced. The detents in the MM300 ARE equally spaced. A design flaw I pointed out early in their development that was never addressed.
