The team had a great time celebrating the 50th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. A major pre-season teardown and fresh paint and body work delayed our group’s arrival until Tuesday night.
We drove straight to Grandpa’s Garage for the manufacturer’s party.
First thing Wednesday morning, we lined up with BFGoodrich Tires at Area BFE to welcome a group of first-time Moab visitors and new JK owners to the area. Jason Kaminsky was the trail leader for the Green Day trail in the morning, which was followed by a BBQ lunch.
For dinner, we returned to Grandpa’s Garage for an Italian feast and an incredible raffle provided by BFGoodrich Tires, Raceline Wheels, and Poison Spyder Customs. Representatives from Durango’s local Jeep club, the Creeper Jeeper’s Gang 4WD Club, were present to receive an award for their work on Blackbear Pass through the BFGoodrich Outstanding Trails program.
You’d think that would have been an accomplished day, but we then met up with Superchipsto participate on a night run of Fins and Things. Since the LJ had already been loaded into the tradeshow, we ran the trail with the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee that we just recently set up with a 6” Clayton Long Arm Suspension and Tom Wood’s Custom Driveshafts. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Superchips F5 vehicle programmer!
Thursday, we took time to walk the vendors show and meet with many of our friends and marketing partners. We also broke away for a little while to enjoy some classic spectating at Potato Salad Hill.
Friday, we again hit the vendors show, but immediately upon loading the vehicle out, we headed over to Potato Salad Hill to showcase some of the LJ’s rock crawling capabilities, followed by night wheeling under the lights at Area BFE. Fun, fun, fun!!!
This weekend, the crew is heading to Chokecherry Canyon in Farmington, New Mexico to participate in the annual Glade Run cleanup event. We hope to see many of our local friends there to help us keep our public lands open to the public. We’ve been participating in this event for years and it’s always amazing how much trash we can pick up in just a half day of volunteering. Join us afterward for lunch.
