• MasterCraft Safety’s New Super Duty “XD” Suspension Seat Brings Race Quality And Comfort To Ford Trucks

MasterCraft's new Super Duty XD seat

Ford’s Super Duty pickups are ubiquitous not just as towing and chase vehicles for desert races, but also at construction and work sites all over the country.  Now owners of these trucks can experience the same level of comfort the Jeep market has come to know through the Baja RS and the same level of engineering as the 3G off-road race seat.  Designed after the legendary MasterCraft Safety Baja RS suspension seat, the new XD seat is one inch wider to take advantage of the generous cabin space in the Super Duty and can comfortably fit up to a 44-inch waist.  This new suspension seat is offered in four popular color combinations to compliment any interior, including All Black – vinyl/cloth; All Black – vinyl only; All Gray – vinyl/cloth; and All Gray – vinyl only.  Unlike many other suspension seats on the market, the MasterCraft Safety meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) compliance. • Ultra4s Dominate the Desert at Silver State 300

April 30, 2011- Las Vegas, NV: From grocery-getting Expeditions to monstrous blue-tubed buggies, it was hard to miss the unlimited 4-wheel drive class known as Ultra4 at last weekend’s Best in the Desert Silver State 300. The Ultra4 class, identifiable by their 4400 numbers, proved once again that they can hold their own in the desert:  They were both the largest class at the start line and the largest class to cross the finish line at Saturday’s 300 mile high-speed race through Nevada’s scenic back country. The drivers had weather on their side as cool temperatures kept overheating issues at bay and windy conditions made passing easier on a course that is already known to be a smooth, fast course well suited for many of the Ultra4 cars. • Adam Householder Shocks The Competition To Win The BITD Silver State 300

Adam Householder on his way to victory
No one gave Householder Motorsports much of a chance of winning last weekend’s Best In The Desert (BITD) Bilek Silver State 300, but that’s what makes off-road racing great.
Anyone can win at any race. Adam Householder had never won a Trick Truck (BITD’s equivalent of SCORE’s Trophy Truck class) race and qualified 28th at the Silver State 300.  Despite the odds, Householder never let his confidence waiver.  “Qualifying was really tight, we were only 18 seconds back but that was enough to push us back to 28th.” Householder explained.  “We ran conservative in qualifying and saved our best for the race.”
