    dirt riot auburn alabama 042PLACERVILLE, CA   FEBRUARY 28, 2013:  The storm that was supposed to clear and go around the Great American Park ended up running right through it, raining 3.5” in a 24 hour period just before race day.  Dirt Riot is a rain or shine event focusing on the endurance of 4×4 racers, so the green flag still dropped, although a bit later than originally planned.  “The course had to be changed four different times to allow for drainage, as the rivers had risen higher than some of the stakes!” explained Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “Some of the climbs had become impassable, but when we got the race started, the drivers that were there were completely motivated to go for the win!” (more…)

  • Dirt Riot Inaugural Southeast Race at The Great American Park

    Racing Saturday February 23rd Starting at 9am in Auburn, AL

    Dirt Riot 2.23PLACERVILLE, CA   FEBRUARY 20, 2013:  The first ever Southeast Dirt Riot Series event will take place this weekend kicking off the 2013 race season.  The Great American Park in Auburn Alabama will host a 4 mile long course that consists of some minor rock obstacles, some high speed sections, a lot of gullies and washes in a mostly sand base.  “We are excited to be in Auburn, it’s a new course for us and the park owner is very accommodating and a real pleasure to work with,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “Last year was our first complete year of Dirt Riot and I can’t tell you how excited I am to get the 2013 season underway.   • Derek West wins the first WE Rock Central Dirt Riot Race of the 2012 season

    (March 9th, 2012) The 1st central WE Rock Dirt Riot Race of the season was held at The Coppermines in Altus, OK. The weather conditions were awful to say the least, it was cool & rainy which equals a lot of MUD!! In total 15 competitors in the Ultra 4 class showed up despite the conditions. Derek said “the hardest part was keeping the mud out of our eyes or finding something to wipe our helmets off with. It was one of the most physically demanding races yet.” The team toughed out the 3 hour race to take their first win of the 2012 season.   • Dirt Riot Kicks Off Event Series in Tucson Arizona January 13-14 MC Motorsports Park

    dirt riotPLACERVILLE, CA   JANUARY 3, 2012:  The 2012 Dirt Riot Series will kick off in Tucson, Arizona Saturday January 14th at the MC Motorsports Park.  Pre race meet and greet will be held at 4 Wheel Parts in Tucson, Arizona on Friday January 13th from 3pm to 6pm.  Dirt Riot racing is a combination of high speed rock racing and technical rock crawling that invites all types of 4 wheel drive vehicles from professional rock racers to stock jeeps and UTVs to take the green flag.  The course is visible by spectators and is family friendly racing.   • Dirt Riot Endurance Racing Successful in 2011, Leads into 18 Events in 2012

    PLACERVILLE, CA   OCTOBER 5, 2010:  In its first season ever, the Dirt Riot events were met with outstanding response.  4×4 Endurance Racing on 4 to 10 mile spectator friendly courses for a set 1 to 3 hours has multiple classes from Unlimited4 to Stock Trail class and a UTV class.  “The drivers that came out and tried the racing had nothing but positive comments about the format and participating in the future,” said Rich Klein, Dirt Riot and 11 year W.E.
